legal procedure and will be happy to discuss the arrangements for your ceremony prior to the wedding day.
Register Office Weddings

The image of dreary and dismal Register Office weddings has been banished to the past and plenty of options are now available, from a short simple civil ceremony to a longer ceremony with music, poetry and readings.  In Monmouthshire we offer a choice of five ceremonies, something to suit all tastes.  The choice is yours!  Just contact us to discuss your individual wishes.

We recognize that your wedding day is a special occasion and are committed to making it enjoyable, memorable and relaxed for you.

Church Weddings

All enquiries concerning marriages in Church of England or Church in Wales premises should be made to the vicar of the church.

Other Religions

If you intend to marry in any other religious building, you must contact the Minister of the Church and follow the procedure for giving a Notice of Marriage at the Register Office in the district(s) where you both live.

If the Church is in a different district from where you both live, there are certain restrictions.  The Superintendent Registrar will be pleased to advise you.

Other licensed premises

Monmouthshire has a number of different licensed or approved premises for civil weddings, from castles to historic buildings and hotels.
