Coed Glas is located on the Rockfield Road, Abergavenny, close to the site of the old Pen-y-Fal Hospital.
Traditionally, events have been registered at a Register Office since civil registration began in 1837. Today, it continues to register births, marriages and deaths, maintaining the original registers in which they are recorded, and provides duplicate and copy certificates when requested.
In addition to registering today's events, Coed Glas holds all the original birth, marriage and death registers for the present County of Monmouthshire from 1837 to the present day. For more information, visit birth and death records.
Your Marriage At Coed Glas
The Register Office is a newly refurbished Victorian building in its own grounds. The atmosphere is relaxed and the surroundings peaceful - a perfect contrast to the busy market town of Abergavenny.
The Skirrid and Blorenge Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for photographs.
The marriage room will seat up to 46 guests comfortably and couples have exclusive use of hte gardens at the weekend, providing an ideal opportunity for them to share a glass of champagne with guests. We offer a range of ceremonies and give couples the opportunity to write their own vows if they wish.
