Caldicot Castle will host its annual fireworks spectacular on Sunday 5th November with gates opening at 4.30pm and the display starting at 7pm. The fireworks will run for approximately 20 minutes. Organised by community groups, Caldicot Castle and tourist organisation Visit Monmouthshire and in a longstanding partnership with radio station Capital FM, the annual event attracts large crowds and has become increasingly popular.

Tickets costing £7.50 for adults and £4.50 for children are available by visiting www.caldicotcastle.co.uk. Children under three get free entry but will still require a ticket to attend. Organisers stress that this is a ticket-only event and no tickets will be on sale at the gate. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Parking is available at the local Asda supermarket, the Mitel site close to the castle and the Jubilee Way car park in the centre of Caldicot. As well as fireworks, entertainment will be provided by Capital FM, fire eaters and a fun fair. Food and drink will be available including a licenced bar but those attending will not be permitted to bring their own food and drink.

County Councillor Bob Greenland, the cabinet member with responsibility for leisure and tourism said: “This is the fifth year we’ve held a spectacular firework display here and Caldicot Castle is the perfect venue for this sort of occasion. Families can look forward to a fabulous display and great entertainment.”
