Monmouthshire’s county councillors will visit Chepstow and Monmouth this month to meet residents and discuss issues with them. In addition, they will provide guidance on how residents can become involved in the council’s decision-making process. Similar events in Abergavenny last year as well as Caldicot and Usk last month were well received.
Councillors will take part in drop-in sessions at Beaufort Square in Chepstow on Wednesday 11th March from 10am to 1pm and outside Shire Hall in Monmouth on Wednesday 18th March from 10am to 1pm.
Council leader Peter Fox who takes responsibility for the democratic process in Monmouthshire said: “We are always keen to engage with residents whether face to face, during informal events, meetings, through correspondence or by using social media. We are aware that we have a duty to be accountable to residents and we look forward to meeting them in Chepstow and Monmouth”.
